BOMA builds with climate change and resilience in mind. Each home is built with either structurally insulated panels or insitu cast foamed concrete. Foamed concrete reduces construction waste, the amount of cement used in the construction of the walls, and insulates the home, thus reducing the amount of energy required for cooling. This provides a major reduction in CO2 emissions both during construction and over the life of the home. On-site precasting of many of the concrete elements used in the construction of our homes further reduces emissions from transportation and reduces construction waste.

Our efficient home designs reduce climate impact whilst saving the homeowner money with; insulated walls and ceilings, energy-efficient LED lighting, water-reducing low-flow faucets, toilets and showers, weather-sealed doors and windows, low maintenance grafiato finish on external walls and good quality acrylic paint indoors for enhanced durability.

Each home is equipped with a small solar power system consisting of solar panels, battery, and inverter. This replaces a diesel generator for backup power and reduces the need for fossil fuel-powered grid energy when the battery is full during the sunniest part of the day. The system is modular and expandable.

Green design doesn’t stop at the driveway, each development includes at least two boreholes with a compact, high-efficiency, chemical-free water treatment system, raised water storage for distribution of water to the estate and biodigesters for wastewater treatment. This integrated water system eliminates the need to truck in fresh water and truck out wastewater as is common in other developments.

BOMA uses foamed concrete wall panels and other modern technologies to reduce construction time from years to months. Each model is available as a shell or as a fully finished home.

Amenities include: stamped concrete driveways, precast boundary walls, brushed concrete access road, high-quality built-in kitchens, high-quality built-in wardrobes, extractors in the kitchen and scullery, tempered glass shower cubicles with stainless-steel fittings, vanity units in the bathrooms, high-quality internal doors with stainless steel hinges, locks and handles, high-quality steel security entrance doors to the front and back, stainless steel utility sink and mixer tap on the back patio, biodigester chambers with soakaway, green and black sewerage lines to separate out the wastewater streams, fully landscaped gardens and washing line installed in the back garden.

Housing Estates are future-proofed to allow for the installation of solar microgrids when the occupancy of the estates becomes constant and guaranteed.

This will ensure guaranteed power in the future at a lower cost than that provided by ECG.
